Dr. Michael Guthrie

Dr. Guthrie earned a Bachelor of Industrial Chemistry and Management from Washington and Jefferson College. While attending Washington and Jefferson, Dr. Guthrie was a member of the Men’s Ice Hockey team and the Phi Kappa Psi National Fraternity. The research he completed while in college has also been published in Washington and Jefferson’s Physical Chemistry Applications and Theory Journal titled “Enthalpy Changes Through the Decomposition of Hydrogen Peroxide with Various Iron Catalysts Using Solution Calorimetry”.

Following graduation, Dr. Guthrie went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where he received the Frank E. Jeffery’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence. After dental school, Dr. Guthrie furthered his training at Virtua Hospital’s one-year General Practice Residency program. While there, he achieved advanced training in all aspects of dentistry including Prosthodontics, Endodontics, and Cosmetic Dentistry. In addition to being a member of the local dental association, Dr. Guthrie is a member of the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Guthrie works hard to offer our patients a welcoming and comfortable experience. He knows that you may be anxious about your visit, and will do everything he can to help you feel at ease.

He and his wife, Noelle, reside in Shadyside with their three children, Gabriella, Anthony, and Henry. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Guthrie enjoys golfing, running, and playing ice hockey.

Dr. Mark Sheedy

Dr. Sheedy believes in comprehensive dental care and treats his patients with gentle care. He takes pride in creating beautiful, confident smiles.

In his spare time, Dr. Sheedy enjoys spending time with his three grandsons, family, golf, and gardening.

Dr. Sadaf Seddigh

Dr. Seddigh earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, graduating in the top 10 of her class in 2018. After practicing general dentistry for four years, she moved to the United States to further her education, completing her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) at the University of Pittsburgh in 2024.

During her academic journey, Dr. Seddigh published studies in the fields of surgery and orthodontics, as well as research on the effects of different materials on cavity-causing bacteria, with her work appearing in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Photodiagnosis and photodynamic therapy Journal, and the Dental Research Journal. She was recognized as a Distinguished Student in 2018 and awarded Distinguished Dentist in 2019.

Passionate about helping people achieve their best smiles, Dr. Seddigh enjoys aesthetic dentistry and strives to enhance her patients’ confidence through personalized treatment plans. She is committed to continuous learning and has developed advanced skills in oral surgery, root canal treatment, prosthodontics, and restorative dentistry. As a member of the American Dental Association and the Pennsylvania Advanced General Dental Association, she aims to deliver the highest quality of care, ensuring her patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visits.

Having received certification in mental training, Dr. Seddigh is adept at helping patients manage dental anxiety and phobia, fostering a positive experience in the dental chair.

She and her fiancé, along with their puppy Romeo, reside in Wexford. In her free time, She enjoys working out, playing golf and tennis, cooking and baking, and doing puzzles. A certified personal trainer and kickboxing coach, she is passionate about fitness and wellness. She also enjoys learning different languages and is fluent in three, with a passion for acquiring more.
